Today, thousands of Aggies along with their friends and families will gather together at the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center to celebrate achieving an academic milestone and receive their Aggie Ring. WHOOP!
What better way to celebrate Aggie Ring Day than on National Beer Day. It’s an Aggie tradition to christen their newly acquired ring by dropping it in 60oz of beer, chugging the entire pitcher and catching the ring in his/her teeth.
National Beer Day observes the remembrance of the law signed in 1933 by Franklin D. Roosevelt that made buying, selling, and drinking beer and wine legal for the first time since Prohibition in 1920.
CONGRATULATIONS to all the Aggies who received their rings today! And cheers to anyone celebrating National Beer Day!
