Everyone seems to move at some point. Today we are providing you with a few tips and resources to help your moving process go a little smoother.
There are several places to find boxes. You can purchase boxes from Office Depot. However, before purchasing, ask local grocery or liquor stores if they have any boxes they are throwing out. This may save you money!
Another way to save money is wrapping your clothing items around your breakables. Use this method instead of purchasing bubble wrap.
Next, after using your clothing to safely pack fragile items, utilize all suitcases and bags. This will help save money on boxes as well.
After packing belongings in boxes, suitcases and bags, be sure to label with masking tape and a sharpie. This step is important for organization. Labeling will make it easier when unpacking. For instance, when unloading, you will know where each box needs to go in the house. Also, you won’t be searching through boxes for specific items.
After labeling your boxes, be sure to lift with your legs and not your back! This is for your safety.
Next, place heavy items on the bottom and toward the back of the moving vehicle. This will allow you to pack more in the vehicle and less will get broken.
