This weekend Brazos Valley has an variety of different events you can attend to help add some fun to your day! Events such as grape stomping, Earth Day activities, MMA fighting, and performances from Broadway singers.
Saturday (4/22) Messina Hof is celebrating its 33rd annual Wine & Roses festival. This festival will be held from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm at the Messina Hof winery in Bryan, Texas. This event will feature grape stomping competitions, wine tastings, live music, and local vendors that will be selling jewelry, paintings, and more.
Saturday (4/22) The celebration of Earth Day. Earth Day is a celebration that began in the 1970’s to help raise awareness for environmental protection. The 22nd Annual Brazos Valley Earth Day festival will be taking place from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Wolf Pen Creek Park. This event will feature environmental demonstrations, educational booths, activities for kids, and snacks with refreshments.
Saturday (4/22) The second Brazos Throwdown will be taking place at Brazos County Expo. This event will feature live amateur MMA fights to compete in the superior combative championships. The doors open at 5:00 pm and the event begins at 6:30 pm. Tickets are on sale now for a starting price of $35.
Sunday (4/23) The Brazos Symphony Orchestra is presenting its season finale at Rudder tower at 5:00 pm this weekend. They will be performing the show A Little Bit Wicked. This show features stars from the Broadway production of the award winning musical, Wicked. These singers will also be performing other musicals such as Phantom of the Opera, Titanic, Chigaco, and more. Tickets are currently on sale for $13-$39.
